Kevin Hines:
My name is Kevin Hines. I jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge. I believe that I had to die, but I lived. Today, I travel the world with my lovely wife, Margaret, sharing stories of people who have triumphed over incredible adversity. Now, we help people be here tomorrow. Welcome to the HINESIGHTS podcast.

Kevin Hines:
What is cracking, Hope Nation? This is your friendly neighborhood, Kevin Hines. And welcome to another HINESIGHTS mental hack of the day. I want you to strive to become the person you want to be. View life as a journey of full of adventures, rather than a series of obstacles you have to overcome. Enjoy the ride that life is rather than focusing on the bumps in the road. And please remember that self-care and self-love are so crucial given today's current climate. Remember, we are, we all have an inner critical voice, and to combat that inner critical voice, we have to retrain our brains to think positively about ourselves. That means looking in the mirror every day and reciting 10 things you love about yourself or pulling out that journal you have and writing down 10 to 20 things that you love about you. Think about all the things you've done in this lifetime that are good and good for others and good to yourself. If you really want to work at retraining the brain from negative to positive, utilize the technique, Recite, Repeat, Believe. This is what every major faith has ever been built upon. Reciting a prayer, repeating a prayer, and believing a prayer. The same goes to show for how you talk to yourself. If you recite good things about yourself, you will eventually believe good things about yourself. Just to be clear, I didn't always practice this. But now that I do, it feels good every day, I feel so much better. This is just a friendly reminder that you matter. I want you to be here tomorrow, and every single day after that, you are valued, you are loved. You are worthy and you matter, and if nobody else stands today, I love you.
